TUESDAY MORNING OCTOBER 28TH

Only seven more days to campaign. Where do these candidates go and what issues do we emphasize? Yes, Barack, we have the $$$$ to finish this race with style. Your bold decision, which has been strongly criticized by McCainites, to pass on federal funds has paid off handsomely. No doubt about it, this organization of Barack Hussein Obama has raised millions to fund a never ending TV campaign, mailers, travel, etc etc etc. He's everywhere from Augusta, Maine to Yuma, Arizona, from Bellingham, Washington to Key West Florida and yep, even to Hawaii! What a fine campaign this young Senator from Illinois has fostered to put him in position to close this very week.

While we talked some foreign issues yesterday and tax differences between the candidates today the Bear wants to call your attention to a major issue all politicians must face, national, state, local etc. in dealing with their constituents: Health Care. McCain has questioned the use of the government to take the lead in forcing companies to have a program for its workers which has been somewhat controversial. McCain has championed the present insurance companies to come up with a program to encourage health care at cheaper rates and would make available $12,000 in rebates to citizens which would have to be targeted for healthcare. He wants the federal government out of the business of healthcare.

The Bear is the radical along with people like Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, who wants the federal government to guarantee "free" medical care for all Americans from the womb to the tomb! The Bear feels a country without this benefit is and cannot be considered great! What is a great country? A country that wins major wars which, overseen by the Democrats (WW1 and2), or a country which is strong militarily, is a beneficial force in the world, such as our work in the UN, a country that follows a mixture of social benefits (social security, health plans, federal aid to education) and a capitalist country which thrives on the competition between private companies to be leaders in their particular industry. Finally, as the Repubs have proven in the past few weeks, there are times when the Federal Government must step in and lead the way in stimulating the economy. Treasury Secretary Paulson and Fed Chairman Berneke are conservatives who have asked and received from Repubs and Democrats extreme power to affect the economy, the banks, businesses thru their loans, policies and programs designed to regulate, yes regulate the various entities that make the major decisions regarding our economy.
"WHY THATS SOCIALISM!" would moan Sarah Palen who doesn't know a socialist, from a communist, from a capitalist, from a fascist from a free thinking outright democratic government. You know to quote my good friend and your friend and everybody's friend, John McCain, "China's commies, who have lent us a lot of bucks, are nothing but capitalists and Sarah Palen, who has taken money from the US Government for various projects in Alaska, is nothing more than a phony capitlist, who is really pursuing socialistic programs. After all Sarah, you never closed the US Post Offices in Fairbanks, did you?

Now, lets get it straight, the Bear wants the US government to tighten its purse strings, get out of these many countries we have no business in, engage in normal diplomatic and yes, sometimes necessary military efforts and then give our constituents FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT and you bet, he supports everyone getting it as part of our guarantees in this government. The Constitutional basis for it's passage: THE NECESSARY AND PROPER CLAUSE IN THE US CONTITUTION! Common Demos! Lets go Repubs! Lets make it happen with a strong Democratic Congress leading the way and a President ready and willing to sign on.

So there you go Repubs. Yes, I am a LIBERAL! Yes, I am a Teddy Roosevelt Progressive!
Yes, I am a CAPITALIST, who has lost a lot of $$$$ lately in the the Stock Market! Yes, I am a Socialist: I favor Medicare to be changed by the new healthcare policy for free medical care for all Americans, Social Security (You stay away from my Social Security Bush! McCain! Repubs!
I favor the mail being delivered to me each day. Hell, I miss my milkman delivering my milk, like they used to do! I favor the Federal Government giving subsidies to our farmers for programs that will help our farmers compete with governments who compete with us every day for the products that will feed millions over the planet! And on and on and on! This I believe: Franklin Deleno Roosevelt was the greatest president in our history because he was able to influence our government to act in crisis during the Depression and WWII and won both those wars with his ingenuity, confidence, leadership and personality. We have a possible clone of his in the making today.

Now Barack Obama, should you be so honored to become President of the United States make sure you are as aggressive a President as you have been a candidate for office. You must select a Cabinet, which stands for Progressive attention to the major issues that have been created by the worst administration is US history. You must make some appointments of qualified, hard working, intellectuals who are masters in their field. Democrats, Repubs, Libertarians, Independents: WE WANT PROS MAKING THE DECISIONS THAT WILL AFFECT MY KIDS AND GRANDKIDS LIVES IN THE FUTURE.

The Bear is signing off today as he heads for Borders to pick up the latest Nelson DeMille novel.
Peace be to all and common you two candidates for President and you two VP candidates: Lets have a great last week of a campaign to remember. My good friend from San Francisco BobFord, tells me: "You'll be sorry!" The Bear never looks back! Onward and upward to victory: Wait, I've got to get my Barack Obama sign up straight in the front yard! So says the Bear as he prepares for tonights World Series restart of the 5th Game of the Series. Could the Rays benefit from this delay (not Tom Delay).
