After viewing yesterday's Super Bowl its time to give a "tip of the cap" to the Manning family.
The great father, Archie, who underwent several rough outings during his time with the New Orleans Saints, has been the recipient of a proud legacy of young footballers who more than make up for some of the thugs out there in the NFL in recent years.
While we read about wives and girl friends being beaten and maimed, knives and guns being brandished in bars, nightclubs, and other locations, beautiful animals being slained in dog fights
and couped up in filthy kennels (I will never forgive Michael Vick and I don't want to hear about him being a mixed up young millionaire), enter the Manning family, especially Peyton and Eli!
Watching these two warms the cockels of my football heart. Peyton, running the Indy offense, pointing out would-be blitzers, changing signals at the line, winging a tight spiral to Marvin Harrison and just flat out showing the custormer what football is all about. Then there is Eli, with his need to try to emulate his big brother and dealing with an even greater challenge, the NY Sports Media, most of whom don't know a football from a walnut and have never been on the field of battle being mowed down by a charging lineman or linebacker when the blocking up front fails. (The great Brady felt pressure big time yesterday and is very sore today!) Yes, this kid Eli Manning has progressed greatly over the few years in the league and yesterday stood the football world on its head and was aided by some magnifcent and gutty (Plaxico Burris) receivers. How proud Archie must have been as the family watched from their perch overlooking the beautiful and innovative Phoenix stadium, which will now be the home of the Arizona Cardinals. And how exciting it is to know that these two Mannings are sterling examples to the youth of our country off the field. Hope they stay that way.
The Giants are the world champions and the Bear's prediction of a 17 Point Patriot victory shreaded by the hard nosed defense and gutty effort of Eli and his Giant comrades.
This for the NFL. Your half time show yesterday gave evidence that the hard edged bombastic
killer rapping sounds and tit exposers of the past may just be on there way out. The commissioner must serve notice to the disturbers in this league that it is a priviledge to take the field for whatever team and that fans pay big bucks to engage their services (overpaid in my opinion) and their off field activities must accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative or else!
With no malice intended to a great Patriot team and their fine coach, "way to go NY Giants!"

Coach - I guess you've forgotten the unwanted "tea bag" incident that the former Volunteer performed on a female trainer while at Tennessee... Manning settled out of court with the young lady (who has gone on to become a well respected sports psychologist).
Don't get me wrong - Peyton has lived the exemplary life (since), or at least has given that impression. It should probably not go unnoticed that there is indeed a "powerful and effective" MANNING MACHINE at work to serve and protect the #1 Quarterback Family in America.
By the way -- I LOVE THE GIANTS (for a few weeks)...!!!
